Visually Impaired People will have a more accurate understanding of 2D artwork’s composition.
Memorability and subjective enjoyment of 2D artworks will be enhanced for blind and partially blind people and sighted users.
The ad hoc technology will contribute to the emergence of richer aesthetic impressions irrespective of visual experience.
All the project’s objectives and the main problematics underpinning our approach to the access to artworks by blind and partially blind people will use the technologies of information and communication. A non-visual interface (IMG system) will provide access to audio and tactile representation of artworks and to the museum space (through artworks and visually impaired people location, and their tracking based on a map).
